Elephants in Twilight Shadow at Antalya Marsh

Deep shadows swallow the massive forms of an elephant herd moving across a salt marsh near a glacial stream. Only a sharp rim of pale twilight light traces the curve of their backs and the rough texture of their skin. Above, heavy overcast skies press low, diffusing the fading daylight into a uniform gray. A flock of birds scatters in a sudden burst of white and gray feathers against the darkening horizon. The ground beneath them is a patchwork of wet salt crust and sparse marsh grass, glistening faintly where the stream water meets the earth. The scene ends with the silhouetted legs of the lead elephant stepping into the deep shadow of the stream bank.
