Peeled icons rest on the crumbling plaster, their gold leaf catching the glow against the peeling white paint. The architecture suggests an old structure near Ankara, with clean surfaces stripped of debris. A rectangular opening frames the distant end of the passage, showing the depth of the space. The roots twist over the stone, their rough bark against the smooth, wet floor. A final sliver of light hits the edge of a fallen tile.
