Golden Hour Light in Tokyo Chapel Ruin Corridor in along a derelict corridor with peeled paint and pooled water near Tokyo

Golden Hour Light in Tokyo Chapel Ruin Corridor

by Debbie Wooten

Rich amber sunset light floods a derelict corridor, illuminating peeling white paint that curls from the walls. Pooled water on the cracked concrete floor reflects the golden sky, while green nettles thrust upward through the fissures in the stone. Swallows dart near the high, broken archway that frames the view. Dust settles on the rough textures of decay beside the vibrant summer vegetation. A final shaft of light catches the wet edge of a fallen plaster fragment on the floor.
