Silver Sardine School in Thai Kelp Waters

Dense clusters of sardines flash silver scales against a backdrop of swaying green kelp fronds along a submerged shelf. Late afternoon light penetrates the wet season water, creating shifting patterns of bright white and deep emerald across the fish bodies. Plankton haze softens the distance, blurring the edges of the kelp forest into a green blur. The tight framing fills the view with the rhythmic motion of the school, their bodies angled in unison. Tiny suspended particles drift in the current, catching the broken surface ripples above. The nearest fish shows a sharp reflection of a light streak along its flank.
