Vibrant electric blue scales flash against the muted gray of a coral wall. A dense school of blue tang fish streams horizontally along the reef edge, their bodies aligned in a fluid, unified motion. The water holds a soft plankton haze that blurs the background, separating the sharp foreground subjects from the distant, indistinct reef structures. Early afternoon light falls through the shallow surface, illuminating the smooth texture of the fish skin and the rough, porous surface of the limestone ledge. Tiny white specks of plankton drift in the current, catching the light as they move past the swaying coral. The tight framing isolates the movement of the school, leaving only the immediate water column and the rock face visible. One orange coral polyp rests on the lower right corner of the gray stone.
