Saltwater Crocodile Dawn Slide in Goa Reed Bed

Pale gold sunlight breaks over the horizon, cutting through a low haze that blankets the distant marsh. A massive saltwater crocodile slides from the muddy bank into the dark, still water, its scaly hide gleaming with morning moisture. Tall, dry reeds stand rigid against the cool dawn air, their golden tips catching the first rays of the sun. The creature's powerful tail trails behind, barely disturbing the surface as it enters the reed bed. Mud rests on the lower jaw, and water beads along the rough texture of the back. The low angle emphasizes the animal's immense scale against the slender stalks of the grass. One ripple spreads outward from the point where the snout breaks the surface.
