Copper light on crocodile basking mouth open

Warm copper light washes the muddy bank where a massive saltwater crocodile rests. The reptile lies low against the dark water, its jaws split wide to reveal rows of sharp teeth and a pink interior. Rough, armored scales catch the fading glow, creating a textured surface of olive and bronze. Tall reeds rise behind the animal, swaying slightly in the still air. A layer of distant haze softens the horizon line, blurring the boundary between the reed bed and the sky. The low angle emphasizes the creature's bulk and the sheer size of its open mouth. One glistening drop of water rests on the lower lip, catching the last ray of sunlight.
