Rich amber sunlight falls through the wet season water, illuminating suspended particles that glitter like dust motes in the current. A nurse shark rests motionless beneath the dark overhang of a volcanic reef ledge near Stone Town. The shark's rough, gray skin contrasts with the warm glow hitting the water above. Deep shadows pool around the reef structure, creating a cool sanctuary where the fish remains still. Light rays cut diagonally across the scene, highlighting the texture of the volcanic rock and the smooth curves of the shark's body. Tiny bubbles float upward near the rock face, catching the fading sun's last rays before the water returns to deep blue.
