Twilight Bracket Fungus on Fallen Oak

A thick, shelf-like bracket fungus rests on the rough, gray bark of a fallen oak trunk resting near a jagged cliff edge. The wood shows deep fissures and weathered grain, against the smoother, earthy tones of the fungal cap. Dim twilight light reflects softly off the nearby water, casting a cool, blue-gray hue across the scene. Sparse leaves skitter across the damp ground in the background, caught in a sudden gust. The composition remains minimalist, isolating the organic forms against the darkening horizon. A thin layer of salt spray glistens on the lower bark, marking the proximity to the sea. The edge of the fungus casts a soft shadow against the wood grain.
