Ancient Oak Bark Ridges on Salt Pan Rim

Deep, furrowed ridges of weathered oak bark dominate the frame, their rough, charcoal-gray texture contrasting sharply with the crystalline salt floor beneath. Soft, raking midmorning light sweeps across the uneven surface, highlighting every crack and crevice in the wood. The bark rests directly on a bed of white, jagged salt crystals that line the rim of an indoor pan. Muted, grayish reflections from the floor surface blur slightly against the base of the ancient wood. Early autumn light enters from the side, casting long, delicate shadows that emphasize the depth of the bark's grooves. The composition stays tight, focusing entirely on the tactile meeting of the organic tree and the mineral salt.
