Puffball Mushroom Spore Cloud at Sunset Fog

Golden horizon light wraps the damp ground near Southampton, illuminating a mature puffball mushroom releasing a dense cloud of brown spores. The dry season leaves the surrounding grasses brittle and pale, standing in sharp contrast to the soft, rising dust. Light fog hangs low, diffusing the sunset glow and creating layers of depth that recede into the hazy distance. The spore cloud billows upward in a thick, textured column, catching the warm light against the cooling blue shadows of the twilight. A darkened stem anchors the mushroom firmly in the earth, its rough surface catching the last rays of the sun.
