Iron Toothed Flax Hackle on Winter Cliff

Hard coastal glare illuminates a wooden flax hackle resting on a weathered linen workshop bench. The iron teeth gleam with a cold, wet sheen from the light drizzle. Salt spray coats the wood grain in a fine, crystalline layer. Behind the bench, the blurred edge of a salt-sprayed cliff rises steeply. The background dissolves into soft, gray tones of a winter sky. Raindrops rest on the sharp metal points, refracting the harsh midday light. The wood shows deep cracks from the cold season. One drop slides down the side of the nearest tooth, merging with the damp surface of the bench.
