Frost Rim Light on Bracket Fungus Anyang
Deep shadows swallow the terraced garden plots near Anyang, leaving only a sharp rim of pale light to define the edges of a moss-covered log. A thick bracket fungus shelf rests on the wood, its rough, layered surface dusted with fine white frost that catches the faint glow. The moss appears dark and damp beneath the ice crystals, against the rigid, stone-like texture of the fungal cap. Negative space surrounds the subject, showing the isolation of the log against the dark, empty background of the late autumn night. Tiny ice needles form jagged patterns along the fungus's lower edge, marking the transition from the wood to the cold air.
