Snowmelt Steel Bands on Penstock Bend Above Harare Spillway

Hard midday sunlight strikes the curved steel bands encasing a massive penstock bend, highlighting the wet, rippling sheets of snowmelt clinging to the metal surface. Below, a concrete spillway chute directs a torrent of water, sending fine spray and mist into the air where it hangs suspended against the bright sky.
