Concrete Dam Powerhouse Below Penstock Lines
Early afternoon light strikes the grey concrete facade of a dam powerhouse, defining every structural line against the sky. Stacked steel penstock lines rise vertically above the building, their riveted surfaces catching the sun. Below, a spillway chute channels water, sending a thick wall of spray and mist into the air. The mist hangs low, softening the hard edges of the concrete where it meets the rushing water. Early autumn air holds the moisture in a dense, white haze that drifts across the industrial structure.
