Sunset Water Flow Over Gampaha Dam Spillway

Turbulent white water crashes forcefully against the curved concrete face of a massive dam wall in Gampaha. The perspective rises from the ground, showing the sheer vertical scale of the gray masonry as it channels the flood. Above, heavy overcast skies diffuse the horizon light, casting a soft, even glow that highlights the wet, slick texture of the stone. The water churns into a frothy, chaotic mass where it meets the air, creating a sharp line of motion against the rigid structure. Dark shadows pool in the crevices of the concrete, against the bright spray. One droplet hangs suspended on the rough edge of the wall, catching the fading light.
