Warning Chain Stretched Across Wet Spillway Steps

Hard coastal glare illuminates a red and white plastic chain stretched taut across a series of wet concrete steps leading down to a spillway chute. The steps glisten under the early afternoon sun, reflecting the bright sky while steady rain creates a fine mist rising from the water below. The chain forms a sharp diagonal barrier, its alternating colors standing out against the gray stone. Water droplets rest on the plastic links, catching the light as the chain pulls tight between metal posts. The converging lines of the staircase guide toward the churning water at the bottom, showing the engineered force of the structure. One drop slides off the lowest link, falling into the spray.
