Steel-blue twilight washes the massive gantry crane resting above the churning white water of a dam spillway near Banfora. The structure rises in heavy, industrial silhouettes against a clear, deepening sky, its steel beams and mechanical joints defined by the ambient cool light. Below, the monsoon surge crashes violently, creating a frothy, turbulent surface that contrasts with the rigid stillness of the parked machinery. The low angle emphasizes the monumentality of the steel framework towering over the rushing river. Concrete abutments anchor the scene, while the spray from the falling water catches the fading light, creating a misty haze that rests on the lower sections of the crane. One rusted bolt on a support beam glints faintly in the gloom.
