Snorkeler Sweeping Light Over Garden Eels at Night

A rhythmic beam of white light cuts through the deep blue void, illuminating a dense carpet of garden eels rising from the sandy seabed. The slender, pale bodies of the eels sway in unison, their translucent tails anchored in the sand. Above them, a snorkeler floats horizontally, their silhouette partially defined by the sweeping illumination. Dark kelp fronds hang from the shelf above, their long, ribbon-like leaves drifting in the slow current. The water remains exceptionally clear, allowing the light to travel deep before fading into the shadowy distance. Layers of depth recede as the beam reveals more of the eel colony stretching toward the dark edge of the frame. A faint ripple distorts the light on the sandy bottom.
