Pale morning light floods the north side of a crumbling institutional hallway in Oman, illuminating dust motes and damp plaster walls. Thick tree roots fracture the stone floor, splitting debris into jagged piles of concrete and sand. Peeling religious icons rest on the wet surfaces, their gold leaf flaking away to reveal gray underlayers. Hanging vines drape from the broken ceiling, their green leaves contrasting against the stark white walls. The scene remains clean despite the decay, with no excessive clutter, only the natural intrusion of vegetation reclaiming the space. Shadows stretch sharply across the floor, defining the texture of the rough stone and the smooth, peeling paint.
