Silhouetted Wires in Abandoned Exchange Room

Gray afternoon light falls through the open roof of a ruined structure near Ajman, illuminating the skeletal remains of a telephone exchange room. Tangled copper wires hang from the ceiling like dried vines, swaying slightly in the light drizzle that coats the dusty floor. The interior walls are stripped bare, revealing rough plaster and exposed brick under a pale, wintry sky. Dark silhouettes of the wire clusters stand out sharply against the bright, diffused light entering from the open space above. Moisture beads on the metal surfaces, catching the soft glow of the early winter sun. The floor is scattered with debris, while the open roof frames the sky in a stark, rectangular void.
