Ferry Ramp Piling System at Low Tide Near Surat

Thick gray mist rests on the concrete ramp and massive steel pilings rising from the dry riverbed near the Surat dam spillway. The low tide exposes wide stretches of wet, dark mud that reflect the pale morning haze. Heavy steel cables stretch taut between the vertical supports, their surfaces gleaming with a thin film of moisture. The concrete structure dominates the foreground, its rough texture softened by the damp air. Rust stains streak down the lower sections of the pilings, marking the high water line. Above, the sky remains a uniform, diffused white, offering no direct shadows. A small puddle at the base of a piling holds a distorted reflection of the steel framework, anchoring the massive infrastructure to the quiet, muddy ground.
