Barracuda School Through Kelp Haze Cape Town

Cool blue twilight washes over a dense forest of kelp fronds near Kalk Bay, Cape Town. A school of barracuda swims through a thick haze of plankton that softens the background into a muted gray-blue wash. Their silver bodies catch faint, broken reflections from the water surface above, creating streaks of metallic light along their flanks. The kelp stalks rise vertically, their dark green textures blurring into the distance. Shallow depth of field keeps the nearest fish in sharp focus while the farthest kelp fronds dissolve into the aquatic gloom. One ray of fading sunlight pierces the water, illuminating the suspended particles dancing around the silver scales.
