Triton Snail Preying on Crown-of-Thorns Starfish

Deep shadow envelops the volcanic drop-off near Gwangalli, Busan, where a massive Triton snail advances upon a spiny crown-of-thorns starfish. The water remains exceptionally clear, allowing the intricate texture of the starfish's orange arms and the snail's smooth, pale shell to stand out against the dark rock. A sharp rim light traces the edges of the predator and prey, defining their forms without illuminating the surrounding silt. Winter stillness hangs in the suspended water, visible only through the slow, drifting ripples on the distant surface. The shallow depth of field blurs the background into soft gradients of grey and blue, keeping the focus strictly on the interaction between the two creatures resting on the rough volcanic stone.
