Giant Clam Mantle in Dappled Coral Shallows

Sunlight fractures into shifting patches of gold and green as it falls through the dense canopy above, illuminating the vibrant, ruffled mantle of a giant clam resting on the sandy floor. The creature's colorful tissue contrasts sharply with the dark, textured rock of the volcanic reef overhang looming nearby. Tiny suspended particles glitter in the water column, catching the dappled light and creating a field of scattered sparkles around the soft, pulsing edges of the shell. Ripples distort the background layers of the reef, receding into a hazy blue distance where the rainy season moisture hangs heavy in the air. at the edge is a cluster of bright orange algae clinging to the shell's rough outer rim.
