Low morning light strikes the horizon haze, casting a pale glow across a remote Patagonian field station. A sturdy scientific telescope stands rigid on a tripod, its metallic barrel reflecting the soft blue of the pre-dawn sky. Frost crystals coat the surrounding ridge, creating a textured white layer that contrasts with the dark, rocky ground. Thick mist rolls through the valley, softening the distant peaks and limiting visibility to the immediate foreground. Converging lines of the station's infrastructure lead toward the vanishing point where the sky meets the earth. The instrument remains motionless, a disciplined fixture against the cold, still air. A faint shadow stretches from the telescope base across the frozen grass.
