Pale violet morning light strikes a black telescope eyepiece resting on a metal tripod. A thick layer of white frost rests on the glass rim and the rubber eye guard, obscuring the lens surface. The metal housing shows faint condensation droplets near the focus ring. Behind the instrument, a blurred background reveals the rough texture of a stone survey marker and dry grasses typical of a Himalayan transect. The sky above is a sharp, cloudless gradient of soft blue. Shadows fall steeply across the frost patterns, highlighting the crystalline texture against the dark matte finish of the optical tube. One frost crystal catches the first direct sunbeam on the lower edge.
