Low-hanging clouds obscure the sky, casting a diffuse, flat glow over the instrument's polished surfaces. The lens housing mirrors the pale morning sky, while frost accumulates on the tripod legs and surrounding grass. A measuring tape lies coiled on the ground nearby, its markings faint against the frozen earth. at the edge shows a sharp edge of ice clinging to the tripod foot.
