Seismograph on Mossy Ridge Near Zermatt

Low hanging clouds press against the sky above a rugged ridge near Zermatt, where a metal seismograph stands anchored into the earth. Patches of vibrant green moss rest on the damp ground surrounding the instrument's base, against the gray steel casing. The equipment faces the horizon, its converging structural lines drawing toward a distant vanishing point obscured by the low cloud cover. Gentle skylight illuminates the scene without harsh shadows, highlighting the texture of the weathered metal and the soft, uneven surface of the moss. Salt wind ripples the air, visible only by the slight blur of fine grasses swaying around the base. The metal surface reflects a dull, cool sheen, while the moss retains a deep, saturated green hue at the edge of the frame.
