Swallows Circling Over Water Ceiling Hangar Ruin

by Craig Shah

Low angle view reveals the skeletal timber beams of a roofless stone hangar in early summer. Rain falls from a gray sky, but the open roof transforms into a mirror of still water where the entire structure reflects upside down. Swallows dart through the air, their dark silhouettes appearing both above the beams and swimming beneath the inverted stone arches. Distant town lights glow softly on the horizon, casting a faint orange hue that ripples across the impossible water surface. Wet stone textures glisten under the twilight, while the birds weave between the real rafters and their submerged reflections. One swallow hovers just above the inverted floor, its wings blurring against the liquid ceiling.
