Timber Truss Shadows on Monsoon Twilight

Indigo ambient light fills the skylit passageway near Sydney, turning the wooden roof truss into a dark, angular silhouette. The timber beams stretch across the frame, their grain softened by the low visibility of blue hour. Plane-tree shadows fall across the wet floor, their intricate leaf patterns mirrored in the puddles below. Rain has recently passed, leaving surfaces slick and glossy. The reflection doubles the architectural lines, creating a symmetrical interplay between the overhead structure and the ground. Moisture rests on the edges of the wood, darkening the texture. The shadows of the leaves shift slightly, suggesting a gentle breeze through the open skylight. A wet patch on the stone shows the inverted image of the truss joint.
