Kerala Monsoon Spillway Glow at Twilight
Cool blue twilight washes the concrete spillway lip, where monsoon water erupts into a thick, rising mist. Signal lamps along the railing ignite with warm orange points, cutting through the hanging spray. The massive gray structure dominates the frame, its smooth surfaces reflecting the dimming sky. Heavy clouds gather overhead, pressing down on the water that cascades over the edge. White foam rests on the wet stone, against the deep indigo of the evening air. Leading lines of the chute draw the gaze downward into the churning flow below. One droplet freezes on the rough edge of the concrete barrier, catching the faint glow of the nearby light.
