Monsoon Waterspout Over Maharashtra Bay at Twilight

Cool blue twilight washes the horizon where a waterspout spirals down from heavy monsoon clouds to touch the dark bay surface. Thin fog drifts low over the water, softening the distant shoreline silhouettes while the rotating column remains sharp and defined against the dimming sky. The sea churns with white foam at the vortex base, against the deep indigo of the surrounding water. Overcast skies block direct sunlight, leaving only the ambient glow of the blue hour to illuminate the mist. A faint line of trees on the far bank marks the boundary between land and water. The wet surface of the bay reflects the pale grey light of the upper atmosphere.
