Frothing Spillway Water Hits Boulders in Jalapa

Honeyed evening light glows against the wet concrete of a dam spillway in Jalapa, where heavy water release creates a violent, white froth. The turbulent stream crashes against massive, dark boulders embedded in the toe of the structure, churning into a thick, aerated foam that rests on the rock faces. Fine droplets from a light drizzle mist the air, catching the sunset glow and creating a shimmering haze over the gray stone. The water cascades with relentless force, carving a path through the rugged terrain while the concrete walls stand in civic-scale austerity. Puddles on the adjacent pavement reflect the warm orange sky, against the cool, churning white of the rushing water.
