Roaring Spillway Water Before Dawn in Shikoku

Cold moonlight bleeds over the concrete walls of a massive dam spillway in Shikoku, illuminating a torrent of white water churning violently below. The scene is dominated by the sheer scale of the gray stone structures rising steeply from the frothing river. Turbulent waves crash against the angled surfaces, sending fine mist into the air that catches the dim light. Late autumn is evident in the dark, bare branches visible on the distant banks. The water moves with relentless force, its surface a chaotic mix of deep indigo shadows and bright, aerated foam. A low angle view emphasizes the towering height of the walls against the rushing current. One streak of foam rests on the wet concrete edge before sliding back into the void.
