Silhouetted Sea Fan Swaying in Clear Cebu Reef Water

Bright surface light falls through exceptionally clear water to illuminate a dark sea fan silhouetted against the glow. The fan stands beside a rugged volcanic reef overhang, its delicate, branching structure outlined in sharp contrast to the luminous background. Gentle, slow-moving ripples on the water surface create a shimmering pattern of light that dances across the fan's surface. The cool season water remains still enough to show the fan's suspended sway without turbulence. Fine particles of sediment float in the beams of reflected light, adding texture to the deep blue surroundings. The overhang casts a shadow that frames the lower portion of the fan, grounding it against the bright, open water above.
