A crevice in the coral structure anchors the composition, where vibrant corals rest beneath the shifting colors. Plankton haze softens the distant background, creating layers of blue stillness that separate the foreground details from the open water. The water surface above ripples gently, diffusing the midday sun into a gentle glow. Fine textures of the reef surface catch the refracted light, highlighting the contrast between the deep blue shadows and the bright spectral bands. One coral polyp extends into the colored beam, its edges glowing with iridescent detail.
