Sunlight fractures into shifting patterns across the water surface, filtering through overhanging vegetation to illuminate a submerged sinkhole near a volcanic reef. The water holds exceptional clarity, revealing the rough, textured walls of the reef rising steeply from the depths. Tiny bubbles cling to dark rock crevices, while slow ripples distort the dappled light into shimmering ribbons on the stone. The dry season leaves the foliage dense and green above the waterline, casting deep shadows that contrast with the bright, sunlit patches on the underwater surface. A jagged edge of volcanic rock juts sharply into the frame, its porous surface coated in a thin layer of algae.
