Sea Fan Swaying in Rainy Cebu Reef Light

Soft, diffused afternoon light penetrates the water column, illuminating a large sea fan coral positioned against a dark volcanic reef overhang. The fan's delicate, branching structure displays a palette of muted blues and grays, its flexible branches swaying gently in the current. A fine haze of plankton fills the surrounding water, softening the background details and creating a layered depth that fades into the blue distance. The water surface above catches the rain, scattering the light into a uniform, gentle glow. Tiny particles drift across the frame, settling on the porous textures of the coral. at the edge shows the fine, translucent tips of the fan catching the light against the rough, shadowed rock face.
