Minke Whale Feeding Among Giant Umbrella Mushrooms

Warm honeyed light falls through a plankton haze, illuminating a minke whale suspended in the shallow waters above a Queensland seagrass meadow. The whale's smooth gray skin reflects the golden hour glow as it navigates a dense swarm of Antarctic krill. Beneath the water's surface, the seagrass blades sway gently, but the sandy bottom is crowded with impossible mushrooms the size of umbrellas. These fungal structures rise from the seabed, their caps casting distinct shadows on the sand and their stems blending with the seagrass.
