Fin Whale Surfaces Near Kelp Shelf at Golden Hour

Golden sunlight spills across the ocean surface, illuminating the massive grey flank of a fin whale as it breaks the water beside a research vessel. The whale's skin appears wet and slick, reflecting the warm amber glow of the late afternoon. Thick green kelp fronds sway in the foreground, anchored to the shelf near Salvador, while the water remains exceptionally clear with slow, gentle ripples. The research ship sits partially visible to the right, its hull dark against the bright sea. Soft shadows stretch across the whale's back, and a fine spray of droplets hangs in the air before falling back into the deep blue. One gull perches on the vessel's railing, watching the water.
