Bright open daylight illuminates a rocky cove where a solitary fur seal pup slips into the water. The pup's wet, dark fur glistens as it propels itself forward, creating a small wake that ripples across the exceptionally clear surface. Cold water reveals the submerged reef edge below, its textured stones visible through the transparent layer. Overhead, slow-moving surface ripples distort the light, casting shifting patterns on the pup's sleek body. The wide panoramic view shows the expansive grey rocks framing the cove against the horizon. The pup's head breaks the surface, revealing a small ripple of water dripping from its whiskers.
