Wind Carved Dunes Cloud Inversion Dawn in near Visakhapatnam

Wind Carved Dunes Cloud Inversion Dawn

by Nora Luna

Cold silver dawn light spills over rolling sand dunes shaped by persistent winds near Visakhapatnam. Layers of depth recede into a valley filled with a thick cloud inversion that blankets the lower terrain. Fine rain falls as a light drizzle, creating a wet sheen on the dune crests and darkening the sand to deep ochre tones. The sky above the cloud layer remains clear and pale blue. Sparse, rain-soaked vegetation rests on the ridges, bending under the weight of moisture. The wind-sculpted curves of the sand contrast sharply with the soft, white expanse of the inversion below. One droplet hangs on a bent blade of grass at the foreground edge.
