Morning Roll Cloud Over Kerala Thunderheads
A low, cylindrical roll cloud stretches horizontally across the eastern sky, its dark grey underbelly against the pale morning haze. Below, a jagged horizon of stacked thunderheads rises in heavy, textured layers, their tops softened by the humid air of the rainy season. The sun sits low on the horizon, casting a faint golden glow that illuminates the edges of the distant storm cells while leaving the foreground in cool shadow. Wind visibly whips through the scene, bending the tops of unseen vegetation and showing rapid movement across the cloud formations. The sky transitions from a deep charcoal near the horizon to a washed-out blue above, showing the sheer scale of the weather system. A sharp, white fringe marks the leading edge of the roll cloud against the darker mass behind it.
