Purple Urchins Orange Starfish Backlit Kelp

Honeyed evening light falls through translucent kelp fronds, illuminating a shallow tide pool in Old Harbour, Reykjavik. Dark purple sea urchins cluster tightly on the rocky shelf, their spines catching the glow from behind. Bright orange starfish rest among the stones, creating sharp color contrasts against the deep blue water. Suspended particles glitter in the water column, adding texture to the stillness. The view extends through layers of depth, with kelp blades framing the foreground while the rocky shelf recedes into the distance. Backlit silhouettes define the shapes of marine life against the glowing water, showing the endless summer light of the Arctic coast.
