Surreal Sicilian Tide Pool with Floating Sea Urchins

Silvery winter light falls through clear, shallow water along a jagged rock ledge in Sicily. The tide pool holds a cluster of purple sea urchins and bright orange starfish, yet gravity has partially failed. Several urchins hover inches above the rocky floor, their spines catching the dim predawn glow. Orange starfish drift near the surface, untethered by the water column. Suspended particles glitter like suspended dust motes in the still air, adding texture to the water. The scene maintains a dreamlike calm despite the impossible suspension. One urchin floats just above a crevice, its shadow cast faintly on the stone below, defying the expected pull of the tide.
