Sunbeam Through Icelandic Kelp Underwater Caustics

Golden light pierces the deep blue water, slicing through dense, dark green kelp fronds that sway gently in the current. The beam creates a sharp, glowing column that illuminates floating particles and casts shifting patterns of bright light across the rocky seabed. Tall kelp stalks rise vertically, their textures appearing smooth and rubbery under the water's surface. In the background, a rugged tide-cut rock ledge anchors the scene, its gray stone against the vibrant aquatic plants. The water remains exceptionally clear, allowing visibility deep into the distance where layers of fronds fade into a soft haze. Tiny ripples on the surface distort the light above, creating a shimmering ceiling of moving shadows that dance over the kelp forest floor.
