Peccary Herd Crossing Trail in Winter Saxony
A tight cluster of peccaries moves across a narrow dirt trail cutting through a bare winter forest in Saxony. Heavy overcast skies cast a flat, gray light that reflects softly off a nearby frozen stream, creating cool highlights on their coarse, bristly fur. The animals stand shoulder to shoulder, their dark hooves pressing into the damp earth and scattered brown leaves. Shallow depth of field blurs the background into soft patches of gray and white, isolating the herd against the muted woodland. Their heads remain low and still, eyes scanning the path ahead. One wet leaf rests on the rough bark of a nearby beech tree.
