Fox Crossing Frosty Meadow in Rain Before Dusk

Copper-toned light from the horizon wraps a wet meadow near Taranto, illuminating a red fox moving along a game trail. Heavy winter rain creates a shimmering veil over the scene, turning frost-covered blades of grass into glistening, translucent spikes. The animal’s fur appears dark and slick with moisture, its body low and still as it navigates the saturated ground. Shadows stretch long across the uneven terrain, deepening the contrast between the glowing horizon and the darkening foreground. Droplets rest on the tips of the frozen grass, catching the fading light. The fox’s shadow falls sharply against the wet earth beside its paws.
