Yak Caravan Crossing High Tibetan Pass at Dawn

Cold moonlight floods a wind-sculpted ridge where a line of yaks moves diagonally across the frame. Their thick, matted coats absorb the pale blue glow, against the stark white of the early winter snow clinging to the ground. Above them, strings of prayer flags stretch taut against a perfectly clear, deep indigo sky, their colors faintly visible in the dim light. The animals step with rhythmic precision, their dark hooves pressing into the frozen earth. Heavy winter clothing covers the handlers, their faces turned toward the horizon as the first hint of pre-dawn light begins to soften the shadows. One prayer flag snaps in the wind, its red edge catching the faintest silver reflection.
